DotA The Mher/Cheater Group

Ok, I'm just stating the obvious that in DotA there are cheaters and mhers, so do in other online games. And the only way that non-cheaters like us can enjoy the game is by playing with your trusted friends.

The online game world is full of people who want to get ahead in whatever they do using bots, hacks even cheats and we can't stop them unless the Blizzard do something about warcraft 3 or someone comes out with anti-hacks that works like magic. So face it there will be cheaters in DotA.

Some ways to detect cheaters
Some of the games where you know that you are doing very well and the enemies just seem to avoid all the possible ganks and deaths. They will likely be using Map-Hack, this hack give vision to them and remove the fog of war from their playing screen. Thus, allowing them to get away or hide in the trees where you cannot find them. they will know when there's a lone hero to kill and when is the right moment to push and farm up.

This usually ends in a losing game for you. So just leave in the middle of the game and don't join their games any more. These cheaters will likely be highlighted by your team mates as well.

2) When the host of the game don't type -ah, it shows that either he is using hack or his friends are using them. And this will confirm with your feeling of "there are cheaters".

*Note that there are also hacks that do bypass the -ah function of the map.

So just play your game and have fun, ignoring the fact that you will lose, as deep down you know you are a great player!
